Students will learn to spontaneously create characters, relationships, environments, and eventually entire scenes with a partner by embracing the concept of agreement ("Yes, and!"). The class assumes no previous improvisation experience and is designed to be a fun introduction to an art form that kick-started the careers of some of the most famous comedy actors of our time. Class size is limited.

Students are immersed in the study of Theatre, Stage Combat, Dance, Voice, Writing, and Design/Tech. Our accredited teaching staff is comprised of caring, creative, and highly talented teachers and professionals who specialize in working with children/youth and have a background in the arts. Children laugh and learn as they participate in age-appropriate activities and instruction, and rehearse and perform their own play in a safe and fun environment. No experience necessary. Each intensive takes place over one week and culminates in a Friday night production starring the students. A student can participate in one, two, three or all four weeks!

Camp Instructors are Popcorn Hat Players Core Company Actors. All classes are held at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the third level of Strawberry Square in downtown Harrisburg.
